Automating circuit board inspection and packing has to start from the production problem: which step is creating the bottleneck, how the products vary, and which defects need to be detected. A suitable solution must balance throughput, quality and the plant team's ability to operate it.
Coordinating the robot, machine vision and controls
The robot performs its motions in sequence; the vision system provides identification or inspection data; the PLC coordinates signals between the devices. When defining requirements, the infeed position, imaging conditions, sorting criteria and how defective products are handled all need to be specified.
Criteria for evaluating the solution
The target cycle time, motion stability, product changeover capability and recovery after a fault should be agreed before implementation. The acceptance scope should cover sample products, fault scenarios, interlocks and operating instructions; safety requirements need to be assessed separately for each system.
Send a video of the current process, product dimensions, production volume and the issues you want to improve so ZINITEK can discuss the site survey scope. This is the basis for choosing the right level of automation and avoiding over-investment.
